It was an impressive effort. We said it was a chance to look silly, but most kept with the festive look and most took it quite seriously. It was going to be a difficult choice to pick a winner amongst all the elves and santas. Or would it be a different look that would win? That was for later though. We had a scramble to play and six teams were in with a chance.
First of all, let's get to the NP's. As is the tradition, there were NP's on all par 3's. This is how it looked and felt:
Hole 2. Ray Gambrill
Hole 4. Ray Gambrill
Hole 7. Ray Gambrill
Hole 8. Ray Gambrill
Hole 9. Ray Gambrill
Hole 11. Ray Gambrill
Hole 12. This is getting boreing. Ray Gambrill
Hole 14. Ray Gambrill
Hole 15. Ray Gambrill
Hole 16. Ray Gambrill
He certainly got his name on quite a few, but the actual winners were:
Hole 2. Gary Stone
Hole 4. Alan Linger
Hole 7. Poster Boy
Hole 8. Sara Richardson
Hole 9. A naughty Elf kept the green clean
Hole 11. Peter (what happened to the wine) Dymyd
Hole 12. Ray Gambrill
Hole 14. Ray Gambrill
Hole 15. Pankaj Bakshi
Hole 16. Ray Gambrill
There were lots of super shots, really close to the pin. Thanks to Blevins for sponsoring a couple of the NP's.
And so, to the main competition. A Scramble. Six teams. They had been carefully selected and, of course, named. There weren't many shots in it, between 7 and 9, so it was going to be close.

Team 2 - Stoned Mob
Team 3 - Blevins Pensioners
Team 4 - Costa Chippers
Team 5 - Costa Oddballs

The winner of our best dressed competition was between these two.
Viv just squeaked it, but it was close. A great competition and lots of people put in a great deal of effort. It was good to see.
And finally. Let's take a look at the players in all their finest. What a site.
Many thanks to Brett Hanson and Peter Hodgkinson for joining us on our Blevins Franks Christmas Texas Scramble. As is now customary, it seems to rain on a Blevins Franks Day, but today, the drizzle and drop in temperature did not dampen the mood or our spirits. Another great White Coast Day.
Our next game, and last one of the year, is at Puig Campana Finestrat on Wednesday 11th December.
As ever, this game will be sponsored by Blevins Franks, International Tax and Wealth Management. peter.hodgkinson@blevinsfranks.com
Licence to Play
We expect Members to obtain the appropriate Federated Licence valid in Spain. This licence grants permission to play on all the Courses on our schedule and includes the liability and accident insurance required by Royal Decree 849/1993.
As a general guide, resident Members should be looking to obtain an Annual Licence with handicap from their corresponding Spanish Regional Federation. In the Valencia Region the cost is €104.20. There is a one off joining fee of €15.
Non resident Members can also obtain an Annual Licence if they wish. If not, they should purchase a One Day Licence at each course which affiliates them to the Federation for that day's play. A One Day Licence costs €2.
WCGS is in such a great place currently. Long may this spirit & camaraderie continue. Feliz Navidad 🎄
Isn’t life great with White Coast Golf Society. Great turnout, great scores, great dress efforts, great people.
