Our end of year awards dinner was held at Costa Marco on Saturday 13th November. It was another great night and a fitting way to end the competitive year. We have to thank all the staff at Costa Marco who provided us with such excellent service. Mat Mason for keeping the mood at just the right level. Brett Hanson and his wife Martina for being our Guests of Honour. And, finally, thanks to Anna and Pilar for extracting every last € towards the raffle and donation. As a result of their very fine efforts, we had €220 left in the kitty. The Society matched this sum which means we will donate €440 to the MABS Cancer Support Foundation.
Our Captain did an amazing job with the overall organisation and with the awards ceremony after the meal, even though he did get a little tipsy drinking all that wine. Our President chipped in with some very fine words at the end to conclude proceedings in a fitting manner.
And so to our winners.
