

Farewell to Basil
We were supposed to be playing at Bonalba. But, it's not there anymore. The course is, but the clubhouse has gone. We ended up meeting, greeting and awarding, outside, sat by a couple of catering vans. Good job it wasn't raining. It didn't trouble us. We were teeing off behind a sea of green St Patrick's Day golfers, music blaring and all. And that didn't trouble us, either. We went out, played well, scored well, and enjoyed ourselves. One good thing about El Saler
The weather forecast wasn't good. 15 of us were fully expecting to get wet, and blown to bits. It was windy, that's for sure, particularly around those holes close to the sea. It was a spectacular sight to see the waves crashing in, if you like that kind of a thing. We did see one kite surfer, but not for long. Last seen headed towards Cullera at a rate of knots! "Stress free" golf! We wondered if there was such a thing, but Jordan might be proving us wrong. Now able to just turn up and play, he is playing well, and consistently well at that. 2025 Winners
Our end of year awards dinner was held, once again, at Costa Marco on Saturday 29th November. It was another great night and, as ever, a fitting way to end the competitive year. We have to thank, again, all the staff at Costa Marco who provided us with such excellent service. Mat Mason for keeping the mood at just the right level.
