We were only here a few weeks ago and the clubhouse looked a little like our caption photo. What a transformation. And, it was an amazing site to see bright green clashing with bright orange. They were celebrating Koningsdag, and making the most of it. How did they cope putting on those greens??
Here's a summary of the results:
Winners
Overall.
Jordan Duffy - 38 points.
Division 1.
Winner. Jordan Duffy - 38 points.
Runner Up. Mick Callanan - 36 points.
Division 2.
Winner. Craig Longstaff - 34 points.
Runner Up. Viv Bacon - 34 points.
Tie Break: Lowest Handicap Player in accordance with RFEG libro verde. Sorry Viv (again), you are going to have to score one more point next time!
NP's
Hole 4. Thomas Barrett. Birdie?? Of course.
Hole 14. Tony Bowers. Birdie?? Close.
LBS
The answer we were looking for was 33. Casper Moerbeek had the right idea by going low, but way overdid it by choosing 24. He'll learn. Jordan Duffy worked it out but saw a +1 in the formula, which he took literally, so chose 34. €21 in the kitty for Alenda. An added incentive to pair up with somebody for that fourball.
CBKO
There was one round of 16 match played on the day. It was the Game 7 match between Tony Bowers & Martin Oddy.
Tony was 4 down at the 12th and, quote, "running out of holes". Then, he turned it on at,13,14 and 15. He went from 4 down to 1 down, and was suddenly flying. Then came the pylon hole. Unfortunately, it took him three shots to get to the pylon! Back to 2 down, 2 to play. We won't mention the drive at the 17th. Suffice to say, that it was lost somewhere close to where the guy hides selling bags of balls! A win for Martin Oddy 3&1.
